Summer and shaun White used to be neighbors. They lived on Whitewater street in Carlsbad California, Summer still resides in the same house. during Shauns MTV cribs episode where he gives a tour of his house Summer can be seen in the backround reading a magazine, and then in the jacuzzi.

Summer Spiro was born in Encinitas california,her dad Mark Spiro is a musician and producer, her mother Leslie was also in the music business. Summer has always loved music, her main influence is Joni Mitchell. Summer dated shaun white for 5 years but broke up in 2008 due to the fact that they were both so busy. Summer and her sister Ruby are part of the singing duo Ruby Summer they released their EP conspiracy of divine events in 2009 and are currently working on their next album
